The intake is located 7 km upstream of the confluence with Marsyangdi at Naije, the powerhouse is 3 km downstream from Naije at the village of Tarachowk. The entire project area lies within Bahundada VDC of Lamjung District.
In June 1998 LEDCO created a new company-Nyadi Hydropower Limited (NHL) to build, own, and operate NHP. MoU has been signed on Dec. 2006 between Butwal Power Company (BPC) and LEDCO for further development of the project. NHL has planned to commence its construction work after receiving approvals from concerned authority by the end of 2007.
